If you're on social media, you've no doubt seen a bunch of videos of people getting buckets of ice water dumped on them. Believe it or not, this isn't some innovative way to fend off the summer heat. It's actually a challenge put on to raise money for ALS, a crippling disease that affects thousands of Americans. Recently, Julie Hamp, CCO of Toyota North America, took it on herself.

Julie's reason for taking the challenge is a personal one. She actually lost someone to the disease not that long ago. So, she went ahead with the challenge, and in a quite innovative way. Since Toyota is all about being green, she took the water spent from the FCV fuel cell vehicle the brand has been developing.

Hear her story and see her take the challenge in the video below.

If you're on the market for a new Toyota model right here in the West Simsbury, CT area, we'd love to introduce you to our lineup. Drop by our showroom and we'll set you up to test drive one of your choice.
